Steven M. Adler

Long Island Estate Planning AttorneySteven M. Adler

No one ever accused me of being a traditional New York lawyer. I understand that you are busy, your family is growing, you are planning for a life of prosperity, and that you value ease, convenience, and efficiency. You want to know that you've made the best decisions for your family, and when it comes to your legal needs, you want your lawyer to be on the same page.

I have over 25 years of experience in the fields of estate planning, probate, real estate, business law and family law. Over the years, I have mastered the art of satisfying and retaining clients for life. I encourage communication with my clients. In fact, I repeatedly inform my clients that I am always available to answer their questions. I personally respond to most phone calls and e-mails on the same day.

"Most legal work is now billed on a flat-fee basis and agreed to in advance, so there are never any surprises. Whether you retain my firm to prepare your estate plan, probate a loved one's will, purchase or sell your home or business, you can rest assured that you and your family are in good hands!"

- Attorney Steven M. Adler

Outside of the office, I also lead an active lifestyle. I ride motorcycles in the summer and ski in the winter. I am a certified scuba diver and I love to travel whenever I can. I presently live in Suffolk County and have two grown children.

I am admitted to practice law in the State of New York; the United States District Court, Southern and Eastern Districts; and the United States Tax Court. I attended the State University of New York at Albany (B.A. 1982) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D. 1988). I am an Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) by the National Organization of Professional Estate Planners (NAEPC). I am also a member of the American Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association. Finally, I am a licensed health and life insurance agent and a licensed real estate agent.

Associate - Marissa Caputo, Esq.

undefinedPrior to joining the Firm, Marissa practiced law on Long Island in the areas of real estate, estate planning, business law and civil litigation so her experience is a perfect synergy with what we do here.

Marissa attended Vassar College, where she graduated with a BA in Sociology and a minor in Art History. Before earning her law degree from Boston College Law School, she joined the firm of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP as a paralegal. During law school she interned under the Hon. Michele M. Woodard at the Supreme Court of Nassau County and the Hon. John B. Riordan at the Surrogate's Court of Nassau County.

Marissa is a Long Island native and has strong family ties to the area. In addition to being very interested in art and design, Marissa is an avid traveler and enjoys exploring new places throughout the world. Above all, Marissa finds it most rewarding when she is able to use her knowledge and experience to help clients, assuage their concerns, and guide them in navigating complex legal situations.

Client Services Director - Julie McDonaldJulie McDonald

"As the Client Services Director my goal is to ensure that every client or potential client receives friendly, personal service."

I began my career in law as a Paralegal working on Asbestos cases. I took a break from law to stay home and raise my 3 children. During that time I was active in the PTA and served on the Board of Directors of The Center for Parents and Children which was a not-for profit parent education center. I also led small group discussions for The Center.

For the past 3 years, my focus has been Trusts and Estates, Elder Law and Real Estate. Before that I worked as both a Licensed Veterinary Technician and a Client Liaison for a large veterinary specialty hospital. I received a B.A. in Communications, Arts and Sciences from Queens College, a Paralegal Certificate from Baruch College and an A.S. from Suffolk County Community College.

In my free time I enjoy traveling, dancing, yoga, music, movies, theater and spending time with family and friends.
